This page describes the fields for the Work order category page in alphabetical order.

Field Description
Bill of materials

Indicates if the default list of components to assemble or to process a released item or bill of material at a specified site is added when a new work order is created.

Leave clear if the default components do not need to be added to a new work order.

Default

Indicates if the work order category ID is the default category for new work orders. If selected, the default category applies to all new work orders, including those created as a make-to-order (MTO) to meet a demand order such as a confirmed sales order.

The work order category description.

ID

The work order category ID.

Name

The work order category name.

Routing

Indicates if the default sequence of shop floor processes to build or maintain a released item or bill of material at a specified site is added when a new work order is created.

Leave clear if the default production operations do not need to be added to a new work order.
