Field descriptions: Time tracking
This page describes the fields for the Time tracking page. The fields in each section are listed in alphabetical order.
Criteria block
Field | Description |
---|---|
From released item To released item |
The finished item name. The released item is defined as a bill of material. Enter or select the same item code for the From released item and To released item fields to filter for all production operations to track for a single released item. Enter or select the required item codes to include all production operations to track for a range of released items. Leave blank to include all production operations to track for all released items. |
From work order number To work order number |
The work order reference. Enter or select the same work order reference for the From work order number and To work order number fields to include all production operations to track for a single work order. Enter or select the required work order references to include all production operations to track for a range of work orders. Leave blank to include all production operations to track for all work orders. |
From work order start date To work order start date |
The planned production start date. For a single day, enter or select the same date for the From start date and To start date fields. To include all operations to track for a range of production start dates, enter or select the dates. Leave blank to include all production operations to track for all work orders. |
Site |
The production site code. Leave blank to include all production sites. |
Status |
The current status or progress of the production operations. Completed: Production operations tracked in full. In progress: Operations with one or more tracked quantities from production. Pending: Operations awaiting tracked quantities from production. Leave blank to include all production operations to track for all work orders. You can track production operations when work orders are at status Completed, In progress, and Pending.

Work order operations grid
The list of operations to track for work orders in production, filtered from the selection criteria in the Criteria block.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Actual quantity |
The quantity processed during the Actual run time tracked for the operation sequence number. The quantity is expressed in the Released quantity defined for the work order. |
Actual resource |
The individual resource ID assigned to the operation sequence number. If a resource group is assigned to the operation sequence number, the resource ID from the assigned resource group. You can change the default resource if a different resource was used for or performed the production operation. |
Actual run time |
The actual time the resource was used for or performed the operation sequence number. The time is expressed in the Run time unit defined for the operation sequence number. |
Actual setup time |
The actual time taken to prepare the machine, tool, labour resource or resource group assigned to perform the operation sequence number before production actually started. The time is expressed in the Setup time unit defined for the operation sequence number. |
Capability level |
The minimum level of expertise needed to perform the operation sequence number. The level reflects the expected behaviours, practices and processes required to reliably and sustainably perform the operation sequence number. |
Completed |
Indicates if the resource completed the operation sequence number. No more time should be tracked for any resource for the operation sequence number. The Completed quantity and the Planned quantity can be different. |
Completed quantity |
The quantity tracked for the operation sequence number, so far. The quantity is expressed in the Released quantity defined for the work order. |
Description |
The production operation name. |
Number | The work order reference. |
Operation number |
The operation sequence number or the stage of production in the routing. |
Planned quantity |
The planned quantity to process for the operation sequence number. The quantity is expressed in the Released quantity defined for the work order. |
Planned run time |
The time planned for the resource to be used for or to perform the operation sequence number. Visibility of the planned time is useful for comparing with the Actual run time tracked. The time is expressed in the Run time unit defined for the operation sequence number. |
Planned setup time |
The time planned to prepare the machine, tool, labour resource, or resource group assigned to perform the operation sequence number before production actually starts. Visibility of the planned time is useful for comparing with the Actual setup time tracked. The time is expressed in the Setup time unit defined for the operation sequence number. |
Released item |
The finished item code. The item is defined as a bill of material. |
Released item name |
The finished item name. The item is defined as a bill of materials. |
Status |
The current status or progress of the work order operation sequence number. Completed: The operation sequence number is tracked in full. In progress: Tracking has been entered for the operation sequence number. It is not tracked in full. Pending: No tracking has been entered for the operation sequence number. |
Dimensions window
Defines attributes and dimensions that can be used to aggregate financial information for analytical purposes.
You can only select dimensions and attributes that already exist.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Channel |
Identifies a channel dimension. |
Department |
Identifies a department dimension. |
Employee | Identifies an employee attribute. |
Project |
Identifies a project attribute. When you include a project, the Task field is available. |
Region | Identifies a region dimension. |
Task | If you selected a project, identifies a task. Tasks are linked to projects. |
New work order operation panel
Displayed when you select Add operation from the Work order operations grid.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Actual quantity | The quantity tracked against the operation, expressed in the Released quantity unit. |
Actual run time |
The actual time tracked for the machine, tool or labour resource. The time is expressed in the Run time unit. |
Actual setup time |
The actual time tracked for preparing the machine, tool or labour resource before production started. The time is expressed in the Setup time unit. |
Capability level |
The level of expertise needed to perform the operation. The level should reflect the expected behaviours, practices and processes that are needed to reliably and sustainably perform the operation to produce the finished item. |
