Field descriptions: Labour resource

This page describes the fields for the Labour resource page. The fields in each section are listed in alphabetical order.

General tab

Field Description
Active The switch to make the labour resource available or unavailable. For example, disabling a labour resource allows you to keep a track of people while they are on leave, or otherwise unavailable.

Active from
Active to

The dates when the labour resource becomes available and unavailable for work.
Description The description of the labour resource. For example, you can specify their role.
ID The labour resource ID.
Name The name of the person.
Site

The site where the person works or will work.

Image block

A picture or graphic of the person.

Settings block

Field Description
Efficiency The efficiency in percentage of the labour resource based on the estimated downtime. The efficiency is used to calculate the effective time for operation for a Work order.
Location

The location where the operators work.

Locations are defined on the Location page.

Resource group

The resource group the labour resource is linked to. For example, Chemical operators.

Resource groups are defined on the Resource group page.

Weekly capacity The total weekly capacity of the labour resource in hours and minutes. The calculation is based on their weekly shift. For example, if the weekly shift is 5 days 2 X 4 hours, the weekly capacity is 40 hours 0 mins.
Weekly shift

The number of days the person works in each week and the number of hours they work each day. For example: 5 days 2 X 4 hours. The weekly shift is detailed in the Weekly shift details grid day by day after you select a value.

Weekly shifts are set on the Weekly shift page.

Weekly shift details block

The grid is a view of the days the operator works and the production times. It is updated automatically for the selected weekly shift.

Field Description
Capacity The total daily work time.
Daily shift The daily shift.
Day The day of the week.
Shift(n) The different daily shifts.

Capabilities tab

Field Description
Capability level

The level of expertise of the operator.

The level should reflect the expected behaviours, practices and processes that are required to reliably and sustainably perform production operations.

The capability levels are defined on the Capability level page.

ID The ID of the capability.
Machine

The machine the labour resource uses.

Machines are defined on the Machine resource page.

Name The name of the capability.
Service

The service linked to the labour resource. For example: You can specify if the person has their first aid certificate, or if they are a financial or strategy consultant. This is for information only.

Start date
End date
The dates when the capability starts and ends.
Tool

The tool the labour resource uses.

Tools are defined on the Tool resource page.

Cost tab

Field Description
Cost category

The cost category.

Cost categories are managed on the Cost category page.

Cost unit

The cost unit such as day or hour.

Indirect cost

The indirect cost section associated with the resource.

Indirect costs sections are defined on the Indirect cost section page.

Run The direct cost of the operator when production is running, per cost unit.
Setup

The direct cost of the operator when setting up for production, per cost unit.
